gary and tinker, only if you have access to a CBC channel, the time will be 9pm, pending where the station originates from, first it will air on cbc Ontario, then cbc manitoba, the cbc alberta, then cbc pacific, it doesn't matter where you are, it matters what feed from what area you are getting, make any sense.

i was asked to donate to my parents anniversary gift, now my dad died 10 years ago, but my brothers and sisters still get my mom something every year.. me being the smart ass that i am sometimes, said, "isn't this a pagan custom, why are we celebrating such a thing, since mom and dad were married in a catholic church, long before they became witnesses.".

If you think about it, I am surprised the Watchtower doesn't make people get married again after they become witnesses. Since most who were married before becoming witnesses, were married by a pastor, reverend, or JOP, who would not have Jehovah's blessing.
I only remember one occasion where a couple got married again after becoming JW's, and they said they did it because they did not feel the people that married them the first time had Jehovah's blessing. Anyone else hear of such an event.

as it's been said on here before, the door to door work is very ineffective, and it's incredibly slow.
with the internet being available at people's fingertips, the jws could get their message out even faster by writing emails, posting on message boards, etc.
i have to wonder if any of the r&f are thinking this as well, and are wondering why the society hasn't added the internet to fs, phone witnessing, and writing letters.. benefits of using the internet would be reaching more people in less time, putting a link directly to watchtower.org so people can read more right away, easier for the physically disabled.. disadvantages of using the internet would be trying to figure out how to calculate hours, since the society requires a certain amount of hours rather than people reached.
let's go one step farther, why doesn't the Watchtower televise their conventions on the internet, people could log on and listen to the assembly, (they do it at your local kingdom hall, how many listen in on the phone line) would this not be a grand witness to the world ???
It would, but no money to be made, and very few donations.
lawrence hughes will be sharing in a special support group meeting in edmonton, alberta, canada on sunday, september 21 at 2 pm.
he will be bringing about 8 ex-jw's with him from calgary and will be talking about fighting the watchtower's blood rules that caused him to lose his teenage daughter last year.

well, my disfellowshipped friend was seeking out an older, non-jw relative who he had wanted to invite to a monumental event in his life.
he wasn't able to reach her at her home so he eventually gave up and sought out his jw parents.
in doing so, he learned that the elderly relative had died a little less than a year earlier (a few months after he had been disfellowshipped).
Withholding notification of deaths seems to be a favorite Witness dirty trick.
it's like they are trying to punish you everyway possible for leaving the borg, have been through this same scenario in my family, what can you say, just one more reason to never go back.

i use to attend all the meetings, give #4 talks in the school and turn in 6-10 hours in service every month.
i was on vacation and had a relationship with a lady.

but the elders put the extreme heat on me and act like they do not want me around, talk to me or have any thing to do with me. Other publishers are the same.

this is why I left the borg at 20, I could see myself growing old alone, When I met my wife (after letting SO many pass by), I said enough is enough. My brother is 40, still lives at home with my mom and in the borg, yeah sounds like fun doesn't it.

because, you can only associate with JW's, that way if you decide to leave, when you hit the outside world you are so overwelmed and lonely, there's a good chance you will come crawling back.
The so called more mature ones just tell me the stock answer just "attend all your meetings and go out in service"
You know they should change Genesis 1:1 to In the beginning god created a commandment for all to follow, go to meetings, service and trust me.
I feel for you Captain, I know exactly what you're going through, sorry if I come across a bit sacastic, but I have heard this story so many times, including in my own household, and I still don't have an answer, did Jesus not say "Only God can judge, because he knows the heart.", If JW's would only read this scripture everyday. I have no answers Captain, that's just the way they are, and their attitude is how dare you make are congregation look bad.

The DF'ing arrangement is an assault on marriage. The WTS subtly tries to divide families. And elders play along, oftentimes encouraging the non-DF'd mate to look for opportunities to separate (physically or emotionally) from their mate.Shame.

So lets see ... Last week we had the child abuse story right below Glen How's win in Blainville story in La Presse and read by at least 1 million people in Quebec.

I agree, why not, why not post the magazines on their web-site if they are so INTERESTED in contacting everyone on this planet. Why not have a library on-line with every single publication made since 1879, why not ??? Would this not be a great witness to the entire world and show that they are really trying to do God's work. And simply ask for donations on line, like so many web-sites do. WHY ??? because they are NOT interested in contacting all they can, if a new set up does not produce money, they are not interested, the magazine subscriptions is PROOF of that, you cannot get a subscription anymore. How is this preaching God's word ??? Why does it matter how many hours are put in ??? is not contacting people and preaching the main work ??? NOPE ! What is more beneficial a person out in service for 60 hours and talks to maybe 60 people, or a person who spends 60 minutes on the internet and could talk/leave a message to 6000. This is why I beleive the Watchtower is in trouble, the world is advancing at an incredible pace, they can't keep up, they can't keep their secrets hidden ANYMORE. Growing up a JW, I knew nothing about Russell, Rutherford and his Beth Sarim fiascal, 1935, 1975, Knorr, Franz, generation change (I was gone before this changed) etc etc etc. For all JW's lurking, if this does not prove to you that the Watchtower is full of themselves and BS, I guess there is no hope for you.

went to one my for a good part of my early life, it was called the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, man what a scary place, I encountered many demons there, wearing suits and ties, all males, most of the female demons in dresses (only), are the nice demons, don't say much and obey the male demons. Spooky place, beware, enter at your own risk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, you may not come out.
